HISTORY

REMINGTON's is a 33,000 square foot facility set on 11 acres that operated for seven years as Missouri's largest nightclub.  The last 4 years of that operation the nightclub owner permitted a neighboring church, Ridgecrest Baptist, to utilize the 7 acres of parking on Sunday mornings.  After all, how much does a bar need parking on Sunday morning?

Throughout the nightclub's history struggles with violence and substance abuse became a mainstay, and the owner endured 8 lawsuits in the seven years of operation.  Finally, the property was put up for sale.  Ridgecrest membership immediately embraced a vision for utilizing the facility to bridge into the community and reach people that may never attend church.

The building was renovated and production quality was enhanced to a level of excellence unparalleled in the Midwest. A digital audio system and intelligent lighting system was installed.  A commitment to a tobacco and alcohol free facility was set in place.  A third party management company with over 20 years of event and facility management was set in place, eliminating the anxiety of dealing with a "pastor" in coordinating an event for businesses or organizations, including government and civil agencies.

The vision for REMINGTON's continues to be realized and redefined based on the needs of the community.
A center for social justice, REMINGTON's hosts activities for AIDS awareness, child welfare and more social issues of the day.  All this is in addition to the concerts, trade shows, exhibits, car shows, receptions, training seminars, book sales and more.  REMINGTON's has served as a shelter in time of need for the Red Cross and over a dozen government and civil agencies.
